The garage door counter weight spring broke on my garage door. Sean was out at the prescribed time and proceeded to replace the spring with the proper replacement parts and had it all back working perfectly in about one and a half hours. Very happy with the service and will call them again when needed.

We called Precision Door because the plastic trim around our garage door windows has split at the corner on two of the windows. We have 6 windows on 2 doors, one a custom size, that we paid dearly for. They’re 5 years old. That leaves us with 22 corners that could potentially split! Upon being told it would cost a MERE $500 to replace each window trim, parts & labor, with the same potential problem material, we declined!! Are you kidding me??? We can’t be the only customer with this issue!! Although the repair guy hasn’t run into this problem…yet!! After only 6 months on the job! The other issue is the rubber seal strip on the outside edge of one door! $79 for part, we never got to the install amount! I’m willing to guess over $200 to repair that. Needless to say, we will not be doing any repairs with Precision Door Co., as your prices are over the top. I understand the cost of business has increased in this terrible economy, and our warranty has expired, but the cost to repair plastic & vinyl parts, is just too much. Obviously the material used doesn’t match up to the high quality of your doors. Had we known the cost of maintaining window vinyl was so much, we probably would have chosen a door without windows! Maybe your Company could come up with a better window frame trim. Something more durable. Like aluminum!! We bought the doors because of the security of the openers. That was a huge selling point. We bought from you because of your quality & because we could afford to! Money isn’t the issue, it’s that the most expensive doors come with inferior parts that you charge excessively to replace. So further repair & maintenance is out of the question, at those prices!! We are disappointed!! To say the least! The vinyl windows we have in our home come with lifetime replacement. Perhaps you could think about that for your window trim & rubber strips. We are done with Precision Door Co. Dr. John & Mary Kivle

When I contacted you requesting that my garage door opener be reprogrammed, you sent a repair man. I was very specific about what I wanted, CHANGING THE CODE, when he arrived, he told me he couldn't provide the required service, because my unit was too old. You could have asked me questions about the age and told me then, that it wouldn't be changed because of liability. I feel that the cost of what he did, was not worth price. All he did was do a cursory look at the door. I certainly feel that you sent a service man under false pretenses. I feel CHEATED.

Garrett did a good job of explaining what he was doing while onsite. After completion of the job, the door stopped closing properly. I was able to contact Garrett and he immediately returned and tried to fix the issue. Unfortunately, a pully broke that Precision does not replace. You charge for an entire new system. Some folks just cannot afford that especially when you are talking about a ten-to-twenty-dollar part VS a thousand dollars. This appears to be taking advantage of a situation rather than looking out for your customers best interests. I would like to suggest that this company take a look at assisting your customers in this fashion, especially with the economy taking a nose dive. Thank you for your time. Mark Miller 425-879-8756
